A long search to understand Myeongri more deeply.

For many years, I studied Myeongri, often referred to in English as Bazi, because I could never completely satisfy my desire to understand this field more deeply.

I learned from many teachers and spent countless years studying, thinking, questioning, comparing theories, and examining actual charts. Yet the deeper I studied, the more questions appeared.

Many theories have been transmitted from China and are often accepted because they are presented as teachings from classical texts. But I found it difficult to accept every theory simply because it appeared in an old text.

When I compared some of those teachings with actual cases, inconsistencies began to appear. I also encountered situations where explanations involving seasonal energy and the relationships between individual characters seemed contradictory, even though both ideas were presented as established principles within the classical tradition.

This question stayed with me for many years.

Rather than accepting every traditional explanation at face value, I continued testing theories through repeated observation and comparison with actual charts. I wanted to understand which ideas consistently held up in practice and which required further examination.

Along the way, I also encountered books and materials that were not widely circulated and had traditionally been transmitted more privately. Studying these materials opened additional perspectives and led me to revisit many assumptions I had previously accepted.

Through years of study, verification, comparison, and continued questioning, I gradually began developing my own framework for understanding Myeongri.

I do not consider that process finished.

I believe Myeongri becomes more meaningful when its ideas are examined, tested, questioned, and discussed rather than simply repeated because they have been passed down for generations.

That is why I created LifeChart Insights.

I want this website to be a place where I can share the theories, observations, questions, and conclusions I have developed through years of study, while also exchanging ideas with others who are seriously thinking about the same questions.

Through the blog, I hope to continue sharing the questions that have occupied me for so long, the conclusions I have reached, and the new questions that continue to emerge.
